What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made layers of porcelain that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth to recreate an ideal tooth surface. Each veneer is hand-made by a highly skilled dental technician, so it can correct the colour, shape and size of your teeth while looking remarkably life-like.
Veneers can be fitted to a single tooth or to several teeth as part of a complete smile makeover. At Kidsgrove Dental & Implant Centre, we provide porcelain veneers for patients across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Congleton and Kidsgrove. I would highly recommend having a dental implant at Kidsgrove Dental and Implant Centre should the need be. Gary, the dentist, has a friendly, professional manner and his experience of and ability to do dental implants was made apparent to me. It was an easy decision to go ahead with the sinus lift and dental implant after listening to him. After explaining the process, Gary listened carefully to my concerns and quickly put me at ease, showing patience with me at all times. The process of having a sinus lift and dental implant is done in stages over a few months and can also be paid for in stages along the way. The result at the end is that I can now smile with confidence and more importantly chew normally on both sides of my mouth, not just one. It has made such a difference to me. I am very grateful to you Gary. Thank you.Posted on Google![]()

I cannot recommend this practise enough, i had a fixed white braces for 10 months, the whole process was made super easy & completley painless. I always hated my teeth & always covered my mouth when i smiled & now my teeth are completley straight thanks to Dr Gary Wu, I think he must be a magician 😂 I told him this many times because it is simply unbelievable what he can do. Dr Wu happily explains the process in great detail & he's always happy to answer your questions. All the staff are super friendly & put you at ease straight away. There are no hidden costs. My only regret is that i didnt do it sooner. Thankyou so much Gary i will always be very gratefulPosted on Google![]()

Hygienist appointment with Faith, myself being very dentalphobic if there is such a word and having had poor treatment elsewhere. Faith, from the moment we met placed me at total ease, was patient throughout and though doing I believe a thorough job gave me plenty of time to rest mid-treatment so my jaws didn’t ache and become painful. Return appointment in 6mths time already booked. Thank you 😁Posted on Google![]()

I’m absolutely blown away by my results! I had composite bonding by Dr Saad, and the end result completely exceeded my expectations - they are better than I ever imagined. From the first phone call to the moment I stepped into the practice, the staff were all so friendly, helpful and professional. Everything was explained to me really clearly throughout my treatment, which made the whole experience so easy. I chose Kidsgrove because of the great reviews, and they really do live up to them. Thanks so much for my beautiful new smile!

Frequently Asked Questions
What are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin, hand-made shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. They are used to improve the colour, shape and size of teeth and create a natural-looking, even smile.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
Porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years with good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups. Composite veneers may last up to 5 years.
How much do veneers cost in Stoke-on-Trent?
Porcelain veneers at Kidsgrove Dental cost £575 per veneer. Composite veneers start from £250 per tooth.
Do you offer payment plans for veneers?
Yes. We offer flexible payment plans so you can start your smile makeover straight away: 0% finance for up to 12 months and 7.9% APR for plans between 12 and 36 months. For example, a treatment value of £550 at 0% APR is 12 monthly payments of £46, and £1,000 at 7.9% APR is 36 monthly payments of £31.17.
What can porcelain veneers fix?
Veneers can improve discoloured teeth, close gaps between teeth, restore chipped and worn teeth, lengthen short teeth and correct misshapen teeth.
How many appointments do veneers take?
Treatment usually involves an initial consultation, a digital wax-up of your new smile, a preparation visit where your temporary veneers are fitted, and a final fit appointment once your permanent veneers have been made.
Can I see what my veneers will look like first?
Yes. We create a digital and physical wax-up of your smile, and your temporary veneers act as a “trial smile” for a few weeks to a few months. If you are not completely happy, we make adjustments before your permanent veneers are made.
Are porcelain veneers reversible?
No. A very small amount of enamel is removed to make space for the veneers, so once your permanent veneers are fitted the process can’t be reversed. This is why we always give you a trial period with temporaries first.
Is having veneers painful?
Your teeth and gums are numbed during treatment so you stay comfortable. If you feel anxious about dental treatment, our team also offers sedation options for nervous patients.
What material do you use for veneers?
We use e.max porcelain exclusively for all our veneer cases. It combines excellent aesthetics with strength and has been used for veneers, crowns and bridges for around 17 years.
Porcelain veneers or composite bonding – which is right for me?
Porcelain veneers are hand-made in our laboratory, typically last 10–15 years and can transform the colour and shape of your teeth. Composite bonding is a more conservative, lower-cost option that can often be completed in a single appointment. We will talk you through both options at your consultation.
