Guided Surgery using our  CT scanner in Stoke On Trent

We implement digital dentistry to plan our implant placement. This involves taking a 3D CT scan to visualise the 3D anatomy of the jaw and then we integrate this with our planning software so then we can digitally place our implants in the most ideal positions before we begin. The planned positions are then transferred to a surgical template, which is printed with our in-house 3D printer. The surgical template allows the most accurate positioning of your dental implants, which saves time and also ensures the correct orientation of your dental implants, which is especially important for the best outcome.

What does a CT scan show?

The CT scan is a 3D image, which is important because it show’s the thickness of bone available. It also shows local anatomy such as the sinuses, nerves, blood vessels and also any other unusual pathology.

What are the benefits of a CT scan?

The benefits to you are endless…..

  • You can tell immediately whether you have sufficient bone for dental implants, without cutting the gum.
  • You can find out how close you are to nearby anatomy such as the sinuses and also nerves. Inadvertent damage to a nerve can cause numbess. Having a CT scan dramatically reduces the chances of this ever occurring.
  • CT scan can be integrated to our software to allow dental implant planning.
